LOVED the music! posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 06.18.08 (12:51 pm) They're getting old, even if Demi Moore's breasts don't. posted by: LadyG (reply) post date: 06.20.08 (1:42 am) Good List. posted by: squirrelzone (reply) post date: 06.24.08 (6:59 am) My favs out of your top 10 list would be of course: National Lampoon's Vacation and Weird Science. posted by: OldSchool (reply) post date: 06.26.08 (2:39 pm) *UPDATE* Today I saw that it was the birthday for Gedde Watanabe (6/26) who played the very funny "Long Duk Dong" or "Donger" in Sixteen Candles. He turned 53 years old!!! Now when the Donger is turning 53 already that really puts it in perspective. Happy Birthday Donger. posted by: tarroc (reply) post date: 06.30.08 (6:08 am) Hey Old .Efficient as usual. What do you now about a movie called Tenessee? posted by: inkspector (reply) post date: 07.01.08 (1:23 pm) I think rewatching these movies with my teen daughter is a good summer activity. Thanks for the list. posted by: OldSchool (reply) post date: 07.01.08 (1:39 pm) Reply to: inkspector Definitely some of them would be great for that. Also check out the list of "80s teen comedies" that I included a link to as well. Many of these movies are still my favorites! posted by: emerging (reply) post date: 07.07.08 (9:54 pm) I didn't see Jami Gertz on your list. She may not have officially been part of the "Brat Pack", but she was in some of the movies you listed. "Less Than Zero" ranks right up there for me. Tough to watch, but pretty close to the mark. posted by: OldSchool (reply) post date: 07.08.08 (10:06 pm) Reply to: emerging Jami Gertz was not considered an actual member of the "Brat Pack" though she was in a few movies with members. Less Than Zero was a pretty heavy movie and though I thought it was good, I do not really enjoy watching it over and over like some of the others. Robert Downey Jr. was also in that movie and he is also sometimes thought of as a member of the "Brat Pack" though he is not really. Downey was also in Weird Science (with Anthony Michael Hall) and The Pick-up Artist (with Molly Ringwald). posted by: Stellartruth (reply) post date: 02.03.09 (2:51 pm) Just thought I would add john cusack to this list. He also was a member of the brat pack (official, i don't know for sure) but I think 'better off dead' and 'say anything' should be somewhere on this list. John is my favorite 80s hunk! Thanks posted by: OldSchool (reply) post date: 02.04.09 (2:23 pm) Reply to: Stellatruth Hi, Cusack is one of my favorite actors of all time. He definitely was not considered part of the Brat Pack, but if he were the 2 movies you mentioned would have been included on this list for sure. I did an entire Top 10 List for John Cusack which you might be interested to check out. Thanks for reading and commenting! |
