Do you remember the hilarious parody they had of "Like a Virgin" on "Moulin Rouge"? posted by: OldSchool (reply) post date: 08.23.08 (6:07 pm) Reply to: pretensions No, I can't believe you had never heard "Borderline" before. Hope you liked it. The parody that I remember better is Weird Al Yankovic's song "Like a Surgeon". I am sure you can find the video for that on YouTube. Thanks, as always, for reading and commenting! posted by: squirrelzone (reply) post date: 08.23.08 (7:37 pm) Our little Madonna has grown up (or has she). I can remember as a teenager dry humping the dryer listing to "like a vigin." My wife won't let me near the dryer anymore. posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 08.23.08 (11:03 pm) My list would vary somewhat from yours, but there are no noticeable omissions. I loved Madonna back then. Older Madonna gets on my nerves, but she keeps on cranking out the hits. posted by: cheeks (reply) post date: 08.23.08 (11:42 pm) I love the list. As much as I can't personally stand her (she even interferes with the Yankees!) she has made it all these years with some music people love--and mostly its this stuff! posted by: tinaley (reply) post date: 08.24.08 (7:58 am) I, too, am not a big fanatic of Madonna, but she has accomplished so much and I admire her independence! great post! posted by: rajkumarpb (reply) post date: 08.25.08 (1:12 pm) I am not a big fan of madonna, but i admire her for making such impact on her fans heart.. Nice post and nice list too.... posted by: PirateGirl (reply) post date: 08.25.08 (4:46 pm) I SO wanted those boots she had in Desperately Seeking Susan! Madonna? 50?..........INCONCEIVABLE! posted by: tinaley (reply) post date: 08.26.08 (2:44 am) thanks for the kind words and encouragement! Sometimes all a person needs is a little pick me up :) I am enjoying my stay very much! very nice folks here. thanks again! posted by: monaloser (reply) post date: 08.26.08 (2:04 pm) Madonna's songwriting sucked before she sang the lead role in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Evita." After she had effectively studied the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber through singing the "Evita" role, her songwriting got better. Andrew Lloyd Webber essentially taught Madonna songwriting. posted by: Jenifer Morton (reply) post date: 05.07.09 (3:14 am) Madonna u rock! I love all ur music. All the haters dont know wat their talking bout. |
