When I first read what you wrote in tBlurt, I thought you were talking about the song "Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi. I was all prepared to throw myself in front of a bus if it were Jon Bon Jovi who was critically ill. Seems a little selfish to be relieved that it wasn't him. I do like "You Spin Me", though, and kidney failure is a miserable thing under any circumstances. Thanks for passing along the info. posted by: Marissa (reply) post date: 03.19.09 (6:52 am) Wow, his condition sounds crazy-serious. There's a song that's really popular right now called "Right Round" by Flo Rida that mixes "You Spin Me Round". I recognized it right away and my 14 year-old thought I was crazy, "No way Mom, this is a NEW song!" (Yeah whatev, 80's kids know their music!) posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 03.19.09 (11:41 am) I think Boy George gained notoriety before Burns. I didn't like Dead or Alive and prefer the Norman Greenbaum version of Spirit in the Sky. That aside, I hope Burns can be helped. posted by: OldSchool (reply) post date: 03.19.09 (1:16 pm) Reply to: bawdy Boy George and Culture Club did become popular before Dead Or Alive did, but it is said that Burns had been utilizing that look for many years prior and he claims that Boy George copied him. Thanks for reading! |
